Sulayman Oladepo is an assistant professor in the department of chemistry at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM), Saudi Arabia. He obtained his PhD from the University of Alberta, Canada, under the supervision of Glen Loppnow. He had postdoctoral stint in the group of Sandy Asher at the University of Pittsburgh and later picked up a Canadian Government Laboratory Visiting Fellowship, which he spent at CanmetEnergy, Natural Resources Canada. His current research interests lie in the development of smart molecular probes for cancer biomarker detection, nucleic acid chemistry, bioanalytical method development, liquid crystal-based sensing and spectroscopic instrumentation. Prior to joining KFUPM, Sulayman worked at the Particle Engineering Facility at the University of Alberta on a company-sponsored project involving the development of a low-frequency shift Raman instrumentation for pharmaceutical respirable powders.
