Bridging Surface Science to Catalysis: Oxygenates and Machine Learning

: [CATL] Division of Catalysis Science & Technology

The Chemical Catalysis for Bioenergy (ChemCatBio) consortium is an R&D consortium dedicated to identifying and overcoming catalysis challenges for biomass conversion processes. Led by U.S. Dept. of Energy national laboratories, ChemCatBio seeks to accelerate the development of catalysts and related technologies for the commercialization of biomass-derived and waste-derived fuels and chemicals, leading to circular processes with low carbon intensity, reduced GHG emissions, enhanced energy security, and national leadership in the global bioeconomy. This symposium will foster engagement with industry and academia to tackle challenges spanning from foundational science to applied engineering, leverage our unique capabilities, and collaboratively generate new advanced technologies.
