Dr. Christina Dorado PhD

Dr. Dorado is a USDA-ARS lead scientist and research chemist in the Citrus & Other Subtropical Products Research Unit located at the U.S. Horticultural Research Laboratory in Ft. Pierce, Florida. Her work is focused on extraction and isolation of valuable compounds in citrus and other subtropical crops and food processing streams for use in value-added products. Specifically, Dr. Dorado has conducted work on the use of hydrothermal, thermochemical, and catalytic conversions of dedicated energy crops, agricultural plastics, and food processing waste streams for the production of biofuels, biochemicals, and food ingredients.
