Professor Dr. Kazuo Takatsuka
Senior Research Fellow, Kyoto University, Fukui Institute for Fundamental Chemistry
Kazuo Takatsuka received his Dr. of Engineering Science from Osaka University, Japan, in 1978.
After postdoctoral studies in the United States, with Prof. Vincet McKoy and Prof. Mark Gordon, he joined Institute of Molecular Science, Japan in 1981 to 1986.
Having worked for Nagoya University during 1986-1997 as an associate professor and full professor, he moved to the University of Tokyo, as a professor.
After retirement there in 2016, he has been working for Fukui Institute for Fundamental Chemistry, Kyoto University.
His interest covers the theory of electronic and nuclear dynamics beyond the Born-Oppenheimer paradigm, scattering theory for chemical dynamics, many-body semiclassics, nonlinear dynamics in molecular sciences, the foundation of theoretical chemistry, and so on.
