Jason graduated from Texas A&M University (2019) with a B.S. in Chemistry. As an undergraduate, he worked on hypersonic flow field characterization under Dr. Simon North, computational modeling of gyroscopic molecules under Dr. John Gladysz, and metal-organic framework characterization under Dr. Hongcai Zhou. Now a member of the Strouse Group, Jason is currently studying plasmonic nanomaterials and phosphors for use in solid-state lighting. His work focuses on the characterization of lanthanide-doped nanoparticles through the use of magneto-optical spectroscopy in collaboration with the National High Magnetic Field Lab.
