Dr. Amit Paul did his B.Sc and M.Sc from Jadavpur University and IIT Bombay respectively. He finished his PhD from the University of Pittsburgh in 2008 under the supervision of Prof. David Waldeck in the field of electron transfer through peptide nucleic acid (PNA). Dr. Paul was a research associate at the University of Pittsburgh from 2008-2009. Thereafter, he moved to University of North Carolina Chapel Hill wherein he worked with Prof. Thomas Meyer. In 2011, Dr. Paul joined IISER Bhopal, India as an Assistant Professor and in 2018 he was promoted to Associate Professor. His research interest includes supercapacitor, electrocatalysis, electro-organic synthesis etc.
