Bharat Tandon

Dr. Bharat Tandon is currently a postdoctoral scholar working with Prof. Delia J. Milliron at the University of Texas at Austin. He finished his doctorate in 2019 while working with Dr. Angshuman Nag at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Pune. His research interests are focused upon the synthesis of doped metal oxide nanocrystals and how aliovalent and post-synthesis doping can affect the optical properties of resulting nanocrystals, with particular focus on localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR). He aims to contribute towards the fundamental understanding of LSPR in semiconductor nanocrystals that behave markedly differently from traditional noble metal NCs. When he is not working at the bench, he enjoys playing badminton and watching movies to cool off.
