Division/Committee: [POLY: Division of Polymer Chemistry]

(FINANCIAL CO-SPONSORS: Polymer Chemistry Innovations, Serina Therapeutics, DelAqua, Curapath, Avroxa) The symposium will focus on recent progress in the area of poly(2-oxazoline)s and related polymers, such as poly(2-oxazine)s and polypeptoids. These polymers are gaining momentum as biomaterials and potential replacements for PEG, as they have similar anti-fouling behavior while not inducing immunogenicity. Since our last symposium in 2019 there is major progress in further translation of these polymers towards the clinic. The scope of this symposium will cover all aspects of these polymers ranging from fundamental aspects of monomer synthesis, polymerization and polymer modification via understanding of structure-property relationships all the way to development of specific polymers for a wide range of (biomedical) applications to stimulate further developments in the field.
