Dr. Hailan Guo hold a Ph.D. in chemistry from UCLA. After graduation from ULCA, she joined Rohm and Haas Company in 2000, and then joined Dow Chemical Company after the two companies merged in 2009. Her research focuses are developing specialty acrylate additive products for a variety of applications, including consumer care and personal care products, inkjet ink formulations for wide format printing, and polymeric additives for thermoplastics mechanical, optical properties enhancement. She has vast experience in formulation technology of PVC and engineering resins; cast and blown film process for flexible acrylic resin and flexible PVC formulations, and an expert of compounding, molding of PC, PC/ABS flame retardant formulations for UL 94 rating tests. Dr. Guo has 21 granted US patents, and 17 pending US patent applications. She is the recipient of 2016 R&D 100 Awards, for her role in the development of novel flexible acrylic resin products.
