Alison Fisher

Dr. Alison Fisher is a Professor of Chemistry and Chair of the Department of Chemistry at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. Previously she was an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont. She has mentored over 50 undergraduate researchers in her research program, which focuses on the enzymatic production of volatile organic compounds in plants. Currently she is the principal investigator of a 5-year grant from the S-STEM program at NSF aimed at reducing barriers and increasing retention for low-income students, first generation students, and students from minoritized groups in STEM at Willamette University.
