Karen Glover Ph.D.

Professor of Chemistry, Clarke University

Karen earned a BA in Chemistry from Grinnell College in 1988 and the PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 1994 under the direction of J. P. Marino.  She spent some time as a post-doc in the pharmaceutical industry before joining the faculty at Clarke University (Clarke College) in 1995.  She has served in many roles at Clarke, including Chemical Hygiene Officer, Lab Manager, Chair of Chemistry and most recently as Chair of the Department of Science and Mathematics.  Karen was the recipient of the 2012 Meneve Dunham Award for Excellence in Teaching, one of her proudest moments as an educator.  Her primary teaching responsibilities include Organic Chemistry I and II, Medicinal Chemistry and Molecular Spectroscopy.
