Dr. Arpita Saha is an Associate Professor at the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at Georgia Southern University (GSU). She conducts research in Inorganic Chemistry, Bioinorganic Chemistry, Magnetic Materials, and Environmental Chemistry. She is extensively involved in the leadership committee for the College of Science and Mathematics' (COSM) Diversity & Inclusion Collaborative and Alliance of Women in STEM. She has organized multiple workshops on educating teacher-scholars on Inclusive Teaching Practices in the classroom and empowering underserved groups in the STEM field. She is also involved in the leadership committee for developing Freshmen Research Program at COSM, GSU. She is passionate about developing ways to engage students in scholarly research pursuits via classroom teaching. She is also the recipient of the 2021 University System of Georgia-Hall of Fame Faculty Award Winner.
