Dr. Xiaoxiong Wang

Dr. Xiaoxiong Wang is an assistant professor in Institute for Ocean Engineering at Shenzhen International Graduate School, Tsinghua University. He received his B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Tsinghua University in 2013 and Ph.D. degree in Environmental Engineering from Tsinghua University in 2018. He received postdoctoral training in Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at Yale University in 2018 to 2022.
Xiaoxiong focuses his research primarily on electrified contaminant degradation and energy recovery in desalination and water treatment systems. He has published 36 papers with over 1200 citations, including 15 first- and corresponding-authored papers published in high-impact journals, such as Nature Nanotechnology, PNAS, ES&T, and Water Research.
