Prof. Yi Gao

Yi Gao obtained his B.Sc. in 1997 and Ph.D. in 2002 at Nanjing University. He did postdoc in HKUST and UNL. He joined Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2012, and moved to Shanghai Advanced Research Institute in 2018. He is now the Professor of Physics and Chemistry. His research is focused on the understanding the nucleation and growth mechanism of nanoparticles, and development of the theoretical methods for the real-time simulation of heterogeneous catalytic reactions in operando conditions. He has published over 150 peer-reviewed papers, and total citations are ~4800.
