Dr. Brian Christopher Smith Ph.D.

The laboratory of Dr. Brian C. Smith is located in the Department of Biochemistry at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. Our research focuses on signaling pathways involving reversible lysine acetylation and gaseous signaling and how these pathways underlie fundamental biochemical processes important in inflammation-related diseases such as cancer, heart disease, and diabetes. Our lab uses a wide variety of methods in our research, from molecular and chemical biology to cell culture and in vivo models.
