Tao Li

Tao is a fifth-year graduate student in the chemistry department of University of Pennsylvania. He works in Joseph E. Subotnik's group and is interested in method development on light-matter interactions. Recently, he has extended the conventional molecular dynamics scheme to simulate coupled dynamics between molecules and cavity photons. This cavity molecular dynamics (CavMD) approach has not only reliably recovered many experiments about vibrational strong coupling (VSC), but also provided insights on how forming strong light-matter interactions can change molecular properties in the collective regime.
