Cost-effective synthetic route planning using SYNTHIA™ retrosynthesis software

Date
August 23, 2022

Synthia™ Retrosynthesis Software suggested novel routes for several COVID-19 therapeutic candidates (Yingfu Lin et al, 2021). A cost analysis was performed on the synthetic routes provided by Synthia™ Retrosynthesis Software and the available literature process, for diverse COVID-19 therapeutic candidates. The routes predicted for Bromhexine & Umifenovir were validated in the laboratory. The outcome of the analysis suggests that Synthia™ Retrosynthesis Software can propose cost-effective routes with distinct starting materials to help expedite process development of commercially relevant targets.
