This symposium will highlight advances in integrated catalyst and process development for CO2 conversion and upgrading to commodity chemicals, materials, feedstocks, and fuels. Topics of interest include novel methods for catalyst developments, in situ operando characterizations, reactor design and scale up, bench-scale testing, process intensification, system integration, and modeling/computational analysis. The symposium will cover the latest studies and discussions on both thermochemical and electrochemical catalysis. The symposium aims to provide valuable insights into the current state of CO2 conversion and upgrading, as well as identify critical challenges and breakthroughs, thus enabling efficient, scalable carbon-neutral technologies to achieve net zero emission. The topics include but are not limited to: 1. Current and emerging CO2 conversion and upgrading technologies. 2. Novel, scalable catalysts design. 3. In situ operando characterizations to understand catalyst dynamics and thermochemical/electrochemical interface under reaction conditions. 4. Modeling, reactor design and scale up efforts for industrial applications.
