Zhongkai Cheng

Zhongkai Cheng obtained his bachelor (2016) degree in Tang Aoqing Honors Program in Science (Chemistry) at Jilin University. Then, he obtained two master (2019) degrees in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Rutgers University. He is currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Rutgers University under the supervision of Prof. Deirdre O'Carroll. His research interests are photophysics of conjugated polymers and development of plasmonic metasurfaces for light management in organic semiconductor thin films. In addition, he aims to achieve nanostructured, high-performance and stable organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) and organic solar cells (OSCs).
