Dr. Yutan D. Y. L. Getzler PhD

Yutan Getzler was born in a trailer in western Colorado. He learned to love chemistry while earning his bachelor's degree at Beloit College under the guidance of George Lisensky and Charlie Abrams. He is grateful to have completed  his doctoral studies developing catalytic ring-expansion carbonylations with Geoff Coates at Cornell. Prof. Getzler's research at combines homogeneous catalysis, polymer topology, and sustainability. He teaches at Kenyon College, a small, exclusively undergraduate institution in central Ohio.
