Yuqing Ye is a current Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). She received her bachelor's degree in Environmental Science at the Minzu University of China, Beijing, China (2013), and then worked three years in the Chinese Academy of Sciences as a research assistant in organic geochemistry. In July 2017, she joined UTEP to pursue her doctoral degree under the supervision of Prof. Jorge Gardea-Torresdey. Her currently research interest focuses on the nano-bio interaction and the translocation of engineered nanomaterials within biological tissues.
