Yanhong He

Yanhong He is a PhD candidate in the Department of Food Science and Technology at Virginia Tech. Yanhong has gained extensive research experiences in value-added processing of agriculture waste as a master student in Agricultural Biological Environmental and Energy Engineering and as a process engineer (3 years) in Beijing Yingherui Environmental Technology Co. Since she joined Virginia Tech in August 2017, Yanhong has been working on protein separations from food byproducts, aquaculture feed formulation and evaluations via fish and shrimp feeding trials, biofuels production with fermentation technology, contaminated drinking water treatment. As a Ph.D. student, Yanhong has already published eight papers (four as the first author, four as a coauthor).
