Dr. Vivek ARJUNAN Arjunan Vasantha
SCIENTIST, ASTAR, INSTITUTE OF CHEMICAL ENGINEERING AND SCIENCES
Dr. Vivek A. Vasantha is a Scientist in Function Molecules and Polymers division at the ASTAR, Institute of Chemical and Engineering Sciences, Singapore. His role involves polymer chemistry, colloid and interface, and particle technology, including designing and characterizing novel functional materials, product development, and user-inspired research support. He has been with ICES since 2011, previously holding the position as a post-doctoral research fellow in Institut für Mikrosystemtechnik (IMTEK) at the University of Freiburg (2008). Later, in 2010 he joined as a research associate in Coating Research Institute (CRI) at Eastern Michigan University. There he has expertise in responsive polymer brushes and particle functionalization, rheology, coatings, and stabilization. He completed his Ph.D. in polymer chemistry at the IIT Madras, India, and his Master in Chemistry at the IIT Madras, India. His research interest includes emulsion polymerization, self-assembly, rheology, coating and dispersion, and stabilization.
