Tomayo Ireti Berida

Tomayo completed his Bachelor's in pharmacy degree from the University of Ibadan in the year 2012. Upon completion of the mandatory internship and national youth service corps programs, he proceeded for a Master of Pharmacognosy program at the University of Ibadan. He then worked as a pharmacist at the university college hospital Ibadan for a year and then embark on a journey to the U.S.A for a Ph.D. program in Pharmacognosy under Dr. Sudeshna Roy. His research is focused on the discovery of small molecules potent against Multidrug-resistant tuberculosis strains and other drug-resistant organisms. His long-term goal is to become a leading academic researcher in the field of Natural product chemistry.
