Thijs Stuyver (1992) received his Ph.D. degree under the supervision of Prof. Paul Geerlings, Prof. Frank De Proft, and Dr. Stijn Fias at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in 2018. As an FWO postdoctoral fellow, he worked with Prof. Sason Shaik at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem from 2018 until 2021. During the spring of 2021, he moved to the Boston (USA) to accept a postdoctoral position in the group of Prof. Connor Coley at MIT. His research is focused on qualitative reactivity theories (Valence Bond theory and DFT), and more recently machine learning for reactivity prediction.
