Dr. Sureyya Ozcan studied chemistry at Gazi University, Turkey. Then, she completed her PhD at the University of California, Davis, USA. Her research involved clinical glycomics and biomarker applications. After completing a post-doctoral research at Asia Glycomics Center in Daejon, Korea, in 2013 Dr. Ozcan joined University of Cambridge as research associate and took part in numerous clinical proteomics studies for 5 years. She joined to the Department of Chemistry at METU, Ankara, Turkey in October 2018 as a faculty member. Her research interest is to develop Mass Spectrometry based proteomics methods for clinical and nutritional applications. She is currently the PI of the Qualitative and Quantitative Omics Lab at METU.
