Dr. Sumati Bhatia Group Leader
Glycosylated biomaterials for meeting the challenge of influenza A virus, Freie Universität Berlin (Germany)
Dr. Sumati Bhatia is a group leader in the Department of Chemistry at Freie Universität Berlin (FUB). She did her Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Delhi (India) and her postdoctoral research at Freie Universität Berlin. She has published more than 35 research papers including articles in highly reputed publications as Journal of American Chemical Society, Angewandte Int. Ed., small, Advanced Functional Materials and Biomaterials. She is also a principal investigator in the corona pre-exploration project of Berlin University Alliance (BUA). She has also written book chapters and owns two granted patent applications. Her current research interests are in developing new chemical technologies and biomaterials for the prevention and treatment of viral and bacterial infections.
