Sona Krajcovicova was born in Bratislava, Slovakia. She obtained her PhD in Organic Chemistry in 2019 at Palacky University Olomouc, Czech Republic under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Miroslav Soural, focusing on novel high-throughput conjugation methods of drug-like molecules for chemical biology. Awarded two prestigious national postdoctoral fellowships from the Experientia Foundation and Czech Science Foundation in 2021 and 2022 to conduct her research abroad, she joined Prof. David Spring's group at the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom, where she now focuses on developing innovative synthetic approaches for next-generation therapeutics, with a special interest in stapled peptides and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs).
