Somanea Tranin's hometown is Phnom penh, Cambodia. She is a junior, pursuing a BS in Chemistry and a minor in Business Administration. Upon graduation, she hopes to enter a PhD program to pursue career in industry either as analyst or research in pharmaceutical company. Somanea says, "This research experience is an open door for me to understand and put in the application of my knowledge from class into a working process that allows me to study topics of my interest to answer many unanswered questions for better future. I found myself grown professionally and personally. I had embraced many struggles that allows me to be more determine, persistence to keep going and to think critically."
