Shu-Yuan Pan is currently an assistant professor at Department of Bioenvironmental Systems Engineering, National Taiwan University. He has been dedicated in advancing two energy-efficient technologies for realizing a circular economy: (1) electrochemical precision separation of value-added resources from (in)organic wastes, and (2) high-gravity mineralization for CO2 fixation and utilization using industrial alkaline wastes. He was recently elected as one of the "Green Talents" by BMBF, Germany in 2013. He is a Professional Engineer in environmental engineering licensed in Taiwan (2012). He has published >80 SCI-index Journal articles with a total citation of >3600 times and an h-index of 31. He is also the author of 5 book chapters, 20 journal articles (including Chinese Journals) and technical reports, and >100 papers in conference proceedings and symposium volumes. He holds 7 issued patents and 5 pending patents.
