Scott Altern

I am a 4th year PhD student in Professor Steven Cramer's lab at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). The focus of my research thus far has been on integrating mechanistic column modeling and high-throughput experimentation for development and characterization of multimodal chromatographic processes. I have been heavily involved with numerous NIIMBL collaborations with Merck and Genentech that have funded my work in this space. Besides this, I have been working towards applying our existing column modeling workflows for process development of novel biologics. Some of my hobbies include playing drums and bass guitar, financial trading, and powerlifting.
