Sarah Kirk
Associate Provost for Academic Affairs and Professor of Chemistry, Willamette University
Dr. Sarah Kirk is Associate Provost for Academic Affairs at Willamette University and former Senior Associate Dean for Faculty Development. In these roles, she worked to enhance structures to better support faculty throughout their careers at Willamette. Kirk provided leadership training, coordinated the faculty mentoring program and faculty development workshops, and supported diversity and equity initiatives within the college and in the region. Other positions have included Special Assistant to the Dean for STEM Education and Research, Director of the First-Year Experience, and Professor of Chemistry. Kirk serves as a PI on an NSF ADVANCE and S-STEM grants both of which address barriers impacting the retention and promotion of minoritized groups in STEM fields. In 2019, Kirk served as the Associate Director for STEM Community Engagement HERS Executive Leadership Institute.
