Surface and Interface are widely studied in many research areas. Recent progress in self-assembly, nanoparticle synthesis and stimulus-responsive materials has brought a lot of new discoveries and excitement in this research field. This symposium will focus on the development of new chemistry and materials that are related to surface and interface. Particular attention will be given to functionalized surfaces, such as super-hydrophobic surface, anti-fouling surface, anti-corrosion surface and smart coating materials. The symposium will also include the new analytical tools developed to characterize surface and interface, as well as the theories and computer simulation developed to help comprehensively understand the interfacial phenomena. Researchers from both academia and industry will be invited to the program. Appropriate topics include, but not limited to: Surface fabrication and characterization Chemical synthesis at interface Surface theory and simulation Anti-fouling and anti-corrosion surface Stimuli-responsive surface Self-assembly at surface and interface Membrane and filtration Emulsions Superhydrophobic and superomniphobic Coatings Self-healing coatings Recent development in coating industry
