Dr. Saman Zare
Postdoctoral Research Associate, University of Virginia
Dr. Saman Zare is currently a postdoctoral research associate in the ExSiTE Lab (Experiments and Simulations in Thermal Engineering) at the University of Virginia. Dr. Zare received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maine in 2022. His dissertation research focused on engineering the radiative heat transfer in the nanoscale regime and spectroscopy of thermal radiation from metamaterials. His current postdoctoral research at the ExSiTE Lab focuses on exploring nanoscale thermal transport and characterizing the optical and radiative properties of materials tailored for energy conversion and thermal management of electronic devices.
