Dr. Ryohei Mori is a Chief Executive Officer of Fuji Pigment company limited, Japan. He is also a President of Green Science Alliance Co., Ltd. and the Quantum Materials Technology, and also a member of the Electrochemical society, American Chemical Society.

 

He has appeared in several scholarly journals, including the Journal of the Electrochemical Society, the Journal of Power Sources, the Journal of Electronic Materials, and the Journal of the European Ceramic Society etc... including Japanese articles, he has published over 60 scientific articles in his expertise. Additionally, he has given more than 50 talks across Japan on his specific fields of expertise.

 

Education

 

During his education at Inagawa high school, he went to Mcnary High School in Oregon, USA.  Then he went to the Kyoto institute of technology and graduated in 1997 with a degree in Applied Biology. In 1999, he received his master's degree in science from the Kyoto University, in Japan, followed by his PhD in Engineering from the same university.  In 2021, he completed General Management Program from Harvard Business School.

 

Research & Career

 

He has spent a significant portion of his professional career researching industrial chemicals, metals, and composites, such as next-generation lithium ion, lithium sulphur, and aluminum-based batteries, solar cells, fuel cells, CO2 capture and conversion (artificial photosynthesis) technology, various types of ink, quantum dot composite materials, metal organic framework, nanoparticles, and bioethanol, as well as the potential market opportunities associated with such products.

 

Using electrolytes made of ionic liquids, he has created a new rechargeable aluminum based battery. He has created a unique, petroleum-free, 100 percent natural-derived biodegradable plastic, Quantum dot ink pen and stamp as well as Nature resin based 100 percent biomass biodegradable coating material. His work is largely based on the idea of creating cutting-edge technologies in the field of energy and environmental studies in order to build a sustainable, carbon-neutral society. This fundamental philosophy and thought are reflected in his business, the "Green Science Alliance."

He had also worked in Nissha Company and worked as a sales engineer and translator. He was particularly helpful in translating technical documents between Japanese and English. Furthermore, he worked for RMG Chemical from 2007 to 2008. Before becoming the CEO of Fuji Pigment company limited, he worked in the research department in the same company.
