Dr. Rodrigo Alvarez Ruiz

Rodrigo Alvarez Ruiz is a Postdoc research assistant at the Purdue Agronomy Department. He completed his PhD in Environmental Pollution, Toxicology and Health in 2021 at the University of Valencia, Spain. Teaching and researching are his passions. His research is versed on the analytical method development and fate assessment of unregulated organic pollutants, including PFAS, pharmaceuticals or illicit drugs, among others. During his research stands out his experience researching aquatic environments and handling complex matrices such as biota or biosolids. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, hiking, cooking and having a nice time with friends and board/video games.
