Dr Robert Luo

Robert Luo is a scientific director in Downstream Process Development (DPD), GSK. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Lehigh University, Pennsylvania. Robert has worked on bioprocessing of plasmid DNA, viruses, monoclonal antibodies, and peptides in academia and biopharm industry (Novartis, HGS, and GSK) for therapeutics in gene therapy, oncology, inflammation, and respiratory diseases.

Robert has contributed to the commercialization of three biopharmaceutical products (Raxibacumab, Benlysta, and Nucala) in process development, scale-up, tech transfer, process characterization and validation, regulatory filing and inspection, clinical and commercial manufacturing.
