Dr. Robert Laprairie is an Assistant Professor and the GlaxoSmithKline-Canadian Institutes of Health Research (GSK-CIHR) Research Chair in Drug Discovery and Development in the College of Pharmacy and Nutrition at the University of Saskatchewan. He holds a BSc in Biochemistry (U Sask), MSc in Pharmacology and Neuroscience and PhD in Pharmacology (Dalhousie). He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at The Scripps Research Institute prior to joining the faculty at U Sask in 2017. He was the recipient of the 2018 Young Investigator of the Year Award from the British Pharmacological Society. Robert is the Director of Education and President Elect for the Canadian Consortium for the Investigation of Cannabinoids (CCIC). He has been conducting research on cannabinoids since 2010 and have published over 40 peer-reviewed studies on cannabinoid pharmacology.
