I am a chemical educator with over 20 years of experience teaching in California and Pennsylvania. I was full-time professor at College of the Canyons, a two-year community college in Santa Clarita, CA for over 15 years. During that time, I served in various faculty leadership positions - Academic Senate President, Chemistry Department Chair, and Student Learning Outcomes Coordinator. I have also served as an elected member of the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges, as well as on Faculty Association of California Community Colleges. Currently, I am an associate professor of chemistry at Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, PA where I teach inorganic, physical chemistry, as well as the general chemistry series. I completed my Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry at UCLA and held a post-doctoral appointment under the mentorship of Arlene A Russell (at UCLA) to focus on chemical education research.
