Dr. Al-Kaysi, born in Beirut, Lebanon, earned his B.Sc. from the Department of Chemistry at the American University of Beirut in 1995. He obtained his Ph.D. in organic/photochemistry from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2002, under Prof. David Creed's guidance. His postdoctoral research was conducted at the University of Rochester (2002-2004) and the University of California, Riverside (2004-2007), with Profs. J. L. Goodman and C. J. Bardeen, respectively. Joining the King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences faculty in 2007, he rose to full professor in 2020 with an adjunct senior scientist appointment at the King Abdullah International Medical Research Center in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He authored over seventy papers in journals like Angewandte Chemie and JACS, with five book chapters and four USPTO patents. Dr. Al-Kaysi is passionate about molecular crystals.
