The Regenerative Engineering Society (RES) is dedicated to promoting and advancing regenerative engineering—a field defined by the convergence of advanced materials sciences, stem cell science, physics, developmental biology, and clinical translation to regenerate complex tissues and organ systems. RES fosters innovation, collaboration, and translation of regenerative engineering breakthroughs to improve patient outcomes. As part of this mission, RES organizes the annual Rock Stars of Regenerative Engineering Symposium, which brings together world-renowned regenerative engineers, scientists, and industry leaders to discuss cutting-edge research, the commercialization of regenerative engineering technologies, and the future of the field. The symposium features presentations from leading experts, as well as talks from Rising Stars—typically assistant professors—who showcase their innovative research. Additionally, Emerging Stars present their work through rapid-fire talks and e-poster presentations during a networking reception at the end of the symposium, creating a dynamic forum for engagement and collaboration. The event also includes a panel discussion with Rock Stars and cash prizes for the best poster presentations and oral talks, further encouraging excellence and innovation in regenerative engineering.
