Patrick Hemberger joined Paul Scherrer Institute as a beamline scientist in 2011 and is currently principal investigator in several projects. His research interests are elucidating reaction mechanisms in high-energetic environments such as catalysis and combustion. To unveil these insights, Patrick probes reactive molecules isomer-selectively using vacuum ultraviolet synchrotron radiation, ultrafast lasers, combined with photoelectron spectroscopy and mass spectrometric techniques.
