Dr. Parvez Wadia received his Doctor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from MIT and a minor in Business Administration from the Sloan School of Management. During his nearly fifty-year career with Union Carbide, Dow Chemical and MATRIC-AVN; he has held a variety of technical and senior executive positions in Business and Corporate R&D, Technology Licensing and Engineering. He served as Carbide's VP of R&D & External Technology from 1992 to 2001, was the Global R&D Director for Dow's Ethylene Oxide/Glycol business before joining MATRIC as the first CTO and a founder. Throughout his professional career, Dr. Wadia has created an uncommon passion and excitement for leveraging good science and engineering to deliver value-centered innovation. He has served on the Board of Directors of several organizations including MATRIC, the Industrial Research Institute, National Research Council, the Union Carbide Foundation, and the University of Charleston.
