
Dr. Pabel Cervantes
Assistant Professor, Tecnologico de Monterrey
Pabel is an assistant professor at Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico. He is a Chemical Eng. and holds a M.Sc. on Water Sciences and a Ph.D. on Water Science and Technology from University of Guanajuato in Mexico. He was also a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California Santa Barbara, and has been visitor researcher at Soka University in Japan. During Pabel's professional development, he has transited from the bioprocess for wastewater treatment and membrane technology, to the sustainable use and evaluation of nanotechnology for water treatment. Dr. Cervantes research focuses on understanding the effects of emerging contaminants such as nanomaterials in the environment, as well as the application of promising technologies to prevent and remediate the pollution.
