Dr. Nathan G. Brady PhD

Postdoctoral Appointee, Sandia National Laboratories

Nate received a BS in chemistry with a focus in environmental/analytical chemistry from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry at Syracuse University. From there he went into industry for 6 years working at an EPA accredited laboratory as well as a start up environmental/biomedical testing company specializing in the detection of metals in various matrices and development of drug delivery systems. He then obtained a PhD in biochemistry & cellular and molecular biology from the University of Tennessee Knoxville in the laboratory of Dr. Barry Bruce, investigating a novel extraction method for photosystem I reaction center for use in biohybrid solar devices, starting a business to mature the technology. At present, Nate is 1.5 years into his Postdoc at the Center for Integrated Nanotechnology at Sandia National Laboratories under George Bachand where he is investigating the biosynthesis of zinc oxide nanoparticles for applications in microelectronics.
