Dr Natalia Martsinovich

Lecturer, University of Sheffield

Dr Natalia Martsinovich is a Lecturer in Theoretical Chemistry at the University of Sheffield, UK. She obtained her first degree from the Belarusian State University in 2000, followed by a PhD in Theoretical Chemistry from the University of Sussex (UK) in 2005. Natalia was a postdoctoral researcher at King's College London and at the University of Warwick (UK), studying nanomaterials, molecular self-assembly, and charge transfer in solar cells. She joined the University of Sheffield in 2013. Natalia's research interests are in computational modelling of materials for applications in technology, renewable energy and sustainability, such as sensors, photocatalysts and soil minerals. She has published over 60 peer-reviewed papers, with an h-index of 25. She works in close collaboration with experimentalists, using modelling to explain experimentally observed trends and predict properties of new materials.
