Dr. Nandika Bandara is an Assistant Professor and Canada Research Chair in Food Proteins and Bioproducts at the University of Manitoba. He is a certified Food Scientist (CFS) whose research focus on developing sustainable protein ingredients, protein processing and bioproducts such as nanodelivery systems, food packaging, and adhesives. Dr. Bandara is holding active leadership roles in many international and national platforms including Past chair in Food Chemistry division at Institute of Food Technologists and Secretary in Protein and Co-Products division, American Oil Chemists Society and Associate Editor of Food Chemistry Journal and JAOCS. Currently 12 trainees are in his research lab under his supervision and guidance.
