
Dr Muhammad Fayyaz PharmD, PhD

Muhammad Fayyaz is a pharmacist, pharmaceutical scientist, and future biomedical engineer. He has spent 15 years working as a clinical pharmacist, industrial pharmacist, faculty member, and researcher. Muhammad Fayyaz holds a Pharm.D. and a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from the University of Karachi, Pakistan, one of the leading pharmacy schools in Asia. His areas of specialization include PK/PD of drug-drug interactions, targeted drug delivery, model-informed drug development, drug discovery, and drug delivery. In fall 2017, he joined the Department of Bioengineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to pursue a second Ph.D. in Bioengineering. Recently, Muhammad has received two fellowships: the Mavis Future Faculty Fellowship at Mayo Clinic and the Illinois Alliance Fellowship. Currently, his primary research focuses on model-informed drug development and translational medicine, which influence and precede a variety of diseases.
