Halim received his PhD from the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) and the University de Lyon. Dr. Halim has diverse research experiences on mass spectrometry and computational chemistry. During his PhD, Halim developed a new technique (named HiLoPD) in top-down proteomics. He also measured the mass of the entire amyloid fibrils using charge-detection mass spectrometer. At CEA, he worked on a novel NEMS-MS for characterizing virus capsid and this work is published in Science. Besides research, he loves to teach chemistry incorporating everyday thinking, depicting big and small pictures, and integrating history, mythology and fiction.
