
Miranda Agbana

Miranda is a current master's student in the Schendel Lab at the University of Kentucky's Department of Animal & Food Science. She graduated summa cum laude with her B.S. in Equine Science in Management with a minor in Modern & Classical Languages German at the University of Kentucky in 2021. During this time, she became involved with undergraduate research in the Lawrence Equine Nutrition lab where she assisted in mare & foal research and conducted an undergraduate research project on equine in vitro starch digestion. Her current thesis revolves around the cell wall carbohydrate composition of hempseed as well the impact of rumen fermentation on those polysaccharides.
